On Saturday the 12th of April the Coventry Cobras went up against the Solihull Grizzlies at the Coventry Skydome for their first home game of the season. As the puck dropped in the first period both teams looked determined to make a good impression. The Cobras started this game much better and stronger than last weeks Birmingham Rockets game. We came out looking fast, organised and willing and because of this, took an early lead. The Grizzlies, having some beginners on the team played to their abilities to stop many of the chance thrown at them.
In the second the Grizzlies started to come back with some great attempts at goal, A 1 on 0 proved this but with a fantastic stop under pressure from the Cobras goalie #35 Kyle Robinson they were knocked back again. Eventually the grizzlies were granted another great chance and formatted themselves very well scoring their first goal. #45 Kevin Sherlock and assisted by #4 David Crane.
The game finished on a massive high for the Cobras having scored 16 goals with many new players scoring points and gaining game experience. Goal scorers and assisters for the Cobras are as follows:

Looking into the stands we could all once again see great amount of family, friends and public that had used some of their own time to come and support one of their local recreational Hockey teams, who are largely grateful by this support.
